2008 Foundation Auction

We are in the process of soliciting items for the OAFP Foundation Auction, which will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at Salishan Lodge and we need your help to make this auction a success.

All proceeds from the auction go directly to the Case Award for Rural Experience Scholarship Fund for OHSU medical students. In addition, raffle proceeds will go for general funding for family physicians such as Spanish medical instruction and locum tenens programs.

Silent Auction Success!

We would like to thank all the generous donors and those who participated in the OAFP Foundation's auction on May 12th. The auction raised over $8,500 for scholarships for future family physicians! Traditionally the silent auction and dinner dance have been held on the Saturday evening during the Annual Scientific Assembly, however this year we moved the event to Friday night to allow more guests the opportunity to enjoy an evening of food, fun and fundraising. Over 90 people participated, bidding on handcrafted furniture, trips to the beach and even homemade pies by Mary Lundy! All of the proceeds from the auction go directly to support the Case Award for Rural Experience Scholarship, which allows an OHSU medical student the opportunity to spend one month with an OAFP family physician practicing in a rural community. Thank you for making our auction such a success!
