OAFP Student Opportunities

Students are always welcome to participate in the OAFP.

Every year we sponsor the Tar Wars Tobacco Education program and recruit students to present the program to 5th grades around the metropolitan area. If you are interested in this program, please contact Kerry Gonzales.

We also have 2 committees which lend themselves to student involvement. The first is our CME Planning Committee which helps plan all our CME programs. This committee usually meets one time face to face (for those who are able to come) and then exchanges ideas via e-mail.

The second committee is our Public Policy Committee which meets during the legislative session. This committee helps to set OAFP legislative policy, meets with the health policy staff of both parties and the Governor's office and helps to rally support for those issues the OAFP feels strongly about.

If you are interested in either of these committees, please contact Kerry Gonzales.
